Clay Walker at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, 3/14/08

2334667510_e3fa1648da_b.jpgWow! Tonight I was invited to the Rodeo once again. It was a more then Terrific night. The music was the best I’ve heard so far. Clay Walker sang all of my favorite songs and encouraged everyone to join in. Pretty cool. It was cool to see him ride a horse to the stage. A real Texan.2334669090_750680bb56_b.jpg

A big thank you to Laurie Selzer, from MNI (Media Networks Inc) for allowing me to join them in the Verizon West VIP suite. The food was terrific. I wish I knew everyones name I would love to say thank you for the wonderful treatment.

Here are a bunch of photos I took tonight. I hope to add everyone’s names to these when Lou gets them from Laurie!

2008 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

06_95_imgp1439.jpgHouston, It’s almost time to Rodeo!

Cowboy Up, America! When a cowboy’s in a pinch, he just tightens up the cinch, spurs his horse and rides right through it, cause that’s the way the Duke would do it. He’d Cowboy Up.

This year it’s going to be another terrific year for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Just as I did last year, I will be there enjoying all activities for the 2008 show.

This year I plan to see more of the livestock show then I did last year. As for music, there are several performers I want to see this year. There are two I have in mind now, that I want to see Rascal Flatts and Tim McGraw I will see more then one, I hope. All that to look forward too, and I haven’t even started on the great food.

How many of you are planning to go the the Rodeo, and who will you see? It would be a great idea if any of you go, to take pictures and send me a photo and I will make a section for our photos for this year on the blog and Flickr.

BELT BUCKLE

beltbuckle1a.jpgbuckle2b.jpgWell we all know the Houston Live Stock Show and Rodeo has come to an end. But, as you know I am a fan of country music, and I still have my bling belt buckle. Yes I will still wear it with my JUST ASK -shirt. I have a picture of my belt buckle. Let’s have a guessing game just for fun. I would like to know how many will get this one right. Which belt buckle do you think I have? The beltbucket on the left or the right?

So many people came to me and JUST ASK! Some ask for autographs and photos to be taken with me. Can you imagian how that made me feel? I am thankful I was able to go to the Rodeo a second time. It was wonderful. Thank all of you who saw me at the rodeo. You made it a plesent time for me. HATS OFF TO HOUSTON 🙂

DRIVE LIKE IN A RODEO.

Today was the best weather we had in almost a week.   Now, this doesn’t happen very ofter, I thought it would be nice to talk about.  You might wonder why this in in the Rodeo category.   The weather was so nice, I washed my car in the drive way.  I  hope it doesn’t change the nice  are having.

The Rodeo part comes in, like this. I was told I drive my Impala like I was riding in a Rodeo. Or in one on the Munster truck shows. I don’t drive that bad.  How can you drive like you are in a Rodeo?

TOBY KEITH

16a1.jpgIt happened!. Yes I went to the rodeo last night. Toby Keith’s performance last night was Terrific! There were lots of fireworks and lights. He has lots of energy and so did all of his fans. If you like country music, then the Reliant Center in Houston was the place to be last night. 19a1.jpg

My sister, Lisa,  and I enjoyed the music, as well as the food.

Smoked Turkey leg. mmmm. Couldn’t find the Deep fried Oreos. I would like to know who went to the Toby Keith concert? If you went to the concert post it here. I would love to hear about it. And if you know where I can find the deep fried Oreo I would love to hear that as-well. I will post a few of the pictures from the concert soon. Please stop in again. HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW?

SHOPPING

images.jpegYou’ll never guess what happened to me today so I had better tell you. I went to my favorite Western store, Cavender’s. I was shopping for a buckle for my belt. I noticed someone in the store noticing me. He came over and spoke to me and asked how my day was going. I told him like I always say when asked. Terrific! with a smile.

After my purchase, I looked around for the gentlemen that I just spoken to. I saw him and he could see I wanted to talk to him. He came over. Because he was so nice to me, I couldn’t leave without letting him know how happy he made me feel. I explained to him about my disorder and my website. As I talked to him I could see his eyes filling with tears. He was a very big guy yet he was very sensitive to how I felt and what my life is like. He seemed very happy that I didn’t mind talking about what happened to me. I gave him one of my business cards. He said it was a good way for me to get the word out. He thanked me. I am the one who should be thanking him. I can say for sure I will shop at Cavender’s more often.

WESTERN ATTIRE ALL YEAR ROUND ?

secondfamily_web.jpgToday I went to Cavender’s www.cavenders.com to buy Western gear. I always shop at the S. loop store # 23. I love that particular store. I bought a nice looking belt. Want to be ready just in case I get to go to the Rodeo, or I have the opportunity to meet ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL. If not, I will have the western clothing for “Go Western” day at our Church Sunday.
