Now each time I get a oil change, the cost several dollars more. I think the last time, it was $30 some dollars. I paying $3.67/gal here in Oahu, its over $4.00 on the other islands.

  71. EMERGENCY PRAYER REQUEST! One of my friends who I have been in contact with for some time now. He lives in Alaska. You will know he is also your friend too. John keeps up with the blog and he knows all of us. Please keep him in prayer. I’m going to post his message below this post. Lets show him some love. I’m praying for you John

    John writes

    Hi All,
Reggie and I have communicated quite a bit over the past year…first time poster here but a pretty consistent ‘lurker’…
First…Lou…never met ya, probably never will…never been able to figure out your connection to NF BUT I have to say ‘God Bless Ya’…I cannot tell you enough how I appreciate your candor…your genuineness…your love for everyone…
Well, we had a post MRI doc visit today…man I hate this *()%#& disease…disorder…My son is 5 – the good news is that the ‘tumor’ in his brain diagnosed last year was not evident in this MRI…whether it is truly ‘gone’ or just not visible I choose to give God the glory for this.

My son has another tumor that is impacting his spine…we will be traveling next week for evaluation…my wife will probably go alone as we have other kids and this wasn’t exactly planned…

I get a smile and encouragement when I check the message boards…if I knew Brian personally and lived closer than a few thousand miles from him, I would buy him a ‘good’ cup of coffee each and every day…for NO ONE should have to drink bad coffee…and don’t be fooled into thinking that Starbucks is ‘good’ coffee! 🙂

Even though I haven’t been an active poster here, ya’ll have no idea how much I feel like ‘family’ and know that ya’ll think and pray for all of us that have come to know NF.

I am involved in a men’s bible study and this year we are studying the book of Matthew….I think I have shared this with Reggie before….we probably have all heard the stories where Jesus healed the blind…the lepers…all those deemed ‘really sick’….that is all awesome, but I like the parts where the bible says Jesus healed ALL their sick…

God bless each and every one of you.

  76. Hello. everyone. Just got back into town to see this new post from John. Thank you for the kind words, John. I don’t have NF nor do any family members but I’ve grown quite attached to the strong, brave NF families that I’ve had the pleasure of meeting over the years starting with Reggie. It is unfortunate that some of us are challenged by this disorder and I truly wish that a cure would be coming soon. In the meantime, we still have hope, family and each other. I’m not a praying kind of man, John, but I send positive energy your way and the best of thoughts. I hope you know that you now have a new, extended family here on the blog. Anything we can do to help, you got it.

    Peace,

    Lou

I found your site through Lou (I am one of the ‘crazy dudes’ referenced in comment #38. Lou is a man of many talents. That is all I am allowed to legally divulge.) I just wanted to say that I am in awe of the strength of character exhibited here, and kudos to you and everyone else for humanizing a subject that most people are only vaguely aware of, and even then only through sensationalism and Hollywood. Not trying to get all overwrought, but you are a better man than me. But Lou’s not. And I have the pictures to prove it.

  125. Thank you William, I’m happy to see your visit. We have a lot of fun here. It is the best way that we can keep contact as many times a day we want. I hope you will visit often. I believe you. But we still would like to see pictures. That way there will be no dispute of the photos I have of him as well.

  128. I knew it was a mistake telling William about the website!!!! Reggie, don’t listen to William at all!!! He is a liar, cheater, and all-around good-for-nothing drunk that I took pity on at the last sleazy bar I tried to have the city condemn. He is scum, Reggie, scum and I mean it only in the nicest way.

  154. April 22, Tuesday: Hope all goes well this evening. I did find Da Kine Bail Bonds place in Honolulu. One can not walk in to the office, have to ring door bail or knock on door, and state your business. They have a store in back to buy t-shirts and posters. All I could do is take a picture of the store front, and was not allow to take pictures of t-shirts and other obects in the store. They would not say if DOG was in or not, seems every tourist that comes in asked for DOG, the guy did say he may be out on a case. Maybe I ought to get arrested (traffic), post bond by Da Kine, then break bond……NOT. I tried.

  155. Hey Reggie, are you going to wear a tuxedo tonight? You would look real sharp wearing your Just Ask shirt with it.
Wish I could be there but I am leaving town this evening.

  156. Hi Dr. Moore, that is a cool idea, Wish I would have thought about it earlier. I plan to wear a suite. Maybe with my shirt I don’t know. I will let you know.

  157. I think you should start off the evening dressed nicely then after your presentation slip on your Just Ask shirt under your jacket.

    Comment by Reggie | April 22, 2008 | Reply

  159. thanks John on trying to get a hold of dog I think that is crazy though that they wont let you take pictures of stuff that is kind of odd you think they would let you do that anything for publicity and to be advertised but also dont get bonded by Da Kine then skip bond I dont think Dog would be to happy not to mention be very gentle he would be rough I bet

  162. I was just kidding about getting bonded, no way would I do that either in Texas or Hawaii or anywhere. I did notice bunch of those SUVs parked in the back, might have been the ones they use. I comply to the rules they were giving me. I did get some shots of the store front. I am sure they have a favorite hang out (to eat) some where close by.

  163. cool John I would love to see the pictures I would love more than anything to meet Dog but would rather do it in friendly way and not using him to bond me out of jail but I would hate to be in jail in the first place

  166. I did go into the store for a look around, when he saw me with my camera, when he stated the rules, NO PICTURES ALLOW! So I comply, did want them to get mad, who knows, maybe Dog would have come out.
