Reggie in L.A.

Just talked with Reggie and he had a phenomenal time at the book signing event last night thanks to Greg Gorman. Reggie said he met a lot of great people and took a lot of photos. He’s going to try to email me one or two to put on the site until he gets back. PHOTOS
In any event, if you were at the party on Wednesday, please leave a comment so we can live vicariously through Reggie’s amazing life!

ED FROM PENNSYVANIA

I thought I would share with you about Last Saturday. I had lunch with a friend, Ed Olsavicky. Ed is a terrific friend and a relative of Lou’s. I met Ed at Lou’s wedding many years ago.
While Ed was in town this Thanksgiving holiday, he wanted to get some good old Texas Bar-B-Q. Lou took us to Goode Company where we had a great lunch. Ed wanted to know everything about JUST ASK, and how things are going at my office. It was great talking to Ed and catching up on things since I saw him last.
I hope you enjoy the photo. He now has a Just Ask! t-shirt and will be talking aboutf Just Ask and neurofibromatosis when he gets back to Pennsylvania. Thanks ED for the lunch. See you in D.C.!
The Many Faces of The Texas Renaissance Festival, 11/28/08.
To the many new friends that I met at the Texas Renaissance Festival on Friday I’d just like to say, thank you for making it one of the most fun days in my life.
There are so many new people that I’ve met that I don’t remember your names but you can definitely see your photo below. Special thanks to Taarna the Ice Queen Faerie for the beautiful handmade pin that I’ll treasure forever, Queen Bonnie and her Realm for making me a Knight (Don’t worry, I will smash the wicked peeps at every opportunity!).
Thank you Arsene Dupin – Juggler, Magician, Comedian, Mime Extraordinaire, Louis and Matt – The Fabulous Other Brothers, Blair the Beer Mistress, The Kissing Lady that was so sweet, the guy from the Houston Roller Derby with the beard and kilt, my special friends from Goodwill, the English couple in black leather that I had my picture taken with last year and this year, and finally to all the hundreds and hundreds of people at the Texas Renaissance Festival who make me feel like a King.
Thank you all and I’ll see you next year! MORE PHOTOS HERE!
My friend Scott Dickson and me on Manhattan Beach!
Thank you Scott for allowing me to be your guest at your home. Lisa, Maeve, and of Course my friend Clive. There is no way I can explain how happy I feel about the way things went for me.
It’s good to be home, but sad to leave the company of my great new friends. Thank you all for your kindness.

2008 Texas Renaissance Festival, 11/1/08
Reggie, Lou, William and Geo went to one of my favorite places in the world, the Texas Renaissance Festival.
I met a lot of great people like Lisa, Christina, Lewis, Barbara “The Fairy Lady” and saw a lot of old friends including the “Pretzel Guy” and the belly dancers from the International Festival.
The weather was perfect, the entertainment very good, and I had the BEST DARN steak on a stick I’ve ever had!
Now if there was some way we could go without Lou having to tag along!!!
NEW “Just Ask!” T-shirt Option
The votes are in! Our initial order of tshirts will be the small Just Ask! design on the front and Reggie’s face on the back with the url over his head. (SEE GREEN SHIRTS IN UPPER LEFT.) Our initial order will be pink/white and mustard yellow/blue. We will order in a variety of sizes. If we can order a lot of different colors we will although it might turn into a nightmare trying to keep everything in stock!
If you are interested in ordering a shirt or shirts, please let us know now if possible so we havce an idea of how many to order. I’ve already taken the liberty of putting Emily down for a dozen pink and a dozen yellow. In any event, if you could give us an idea of what or how many you’d like, that would be great! Just leave a comment below or email Reggie at reggie@reggiebibbs.com.
Thanks everyone! Oh, the shirts will be $15 and all cotton so they will breathe nicely!
New “Just Ask!” T-shirt Design
We are thinking of redesigning the shirts so they are simpler, more fun, and are equally appealing to men and women.
We have two styles we’re looking at – distressed and/or solid colors. We’re also investigating different colors for the shirts.
Which design do you like? What colors would you prefer?
Let us know below and who knows, you just might see the shirt of your dreams up here in a few days!
Shiner, My New Dog!
Just got Shiner. Meet my new dog. Shiner is a great dog and I’m thankful to my new friends Connie and Jaen Lawrence. They helped me with making a great home for my dog. We went to the Pampered Pet Inn. When I saw Shiner he came over to me and laid down. He was just the dog I wanted. He’s right next to me as I write. He will be watching TVLAND tonight.
Lets talk pets. What kind do you have. What kind do you want?

HOUSTON ART CAR PARADE, 5/10/2008!!!

What a great day for a parade!
My second year going to the Art Car Parade, and just like last year, I had a terrific time.
Nice cars and so many to choose from that might be the best one. One that sticks in my mind, well it’s really two. The Grapes are and the Red wagon.
I also met a lot of people that was me last year and and new people that saw me on the news last week.
All the photos are here for you to enjoy. Just go to my photo page to view. Please leave a comment!
Reggie and the Neville Brothers
How can I begin to tell you how much fun I had yesterday at the International Festival. The day stated out very well with meeting people who have seen me before. There where happy to take photos with me. I was remembered from last year. The food was terrific music was great. All types of music. I enjoyed the country music of course.
The best part of the evening was music from the Neville Brothers. Arron Neville. I actually got to meet the Neville brothers. A very big thank you to the Neville brothers for taking time to meet and take photos with me. Also thanks to my friends who joined us, Matt Jones, “The Tall One” and William Hughes, “The Smart One.” I said man I would love to meet the Neville brothers. Matt said, “I bet I could make that happen.” Well, he did and you see the photos as proof. I have to tell all of you I had the best time ever.
SEE PHOTOS OF CONCERT AND BACKSTAGE
It would be a really good thing if we could get a group together and do what I have been doing for a year. I can promise you it will change how people feel about NF, and you will feel better that you did it. Whether you have nf1 or nf2, it is a great thing to let people get to know who we are. I would really like my friend, Brian, to go with me some time. I really think people are more understanding now. It seems to me that people expect me to be there. How cool is that?!! Next stop, the “Art Car Parade!”
Cathy Clark, Brandon, the Astros, McKee St Bridge and the Porch Swing Pub!!!
Another amazing day out at Minute Maid Park! Lou and I went to the Astros game today. We had a great time. The game was great and the Astros won! It was really nice to see so many nice people. Like Brandon, who saw me on TV
and came up to introduce himself. Thank you for doing that!
I saw Cathy Clark, who was my bus driver when I was in school. Lets just say it was over 25 years ago when I used to ride the bus to school.
Cathy remembered me by name. I was so happy when she told me she use to drive me to school. Cathy works at the concession stand in Section 409 of Minute Maid and, I got to tell you, I’ve never been treated with more love and respect than from that entire food area!
I think Cathy is a supervisor or some other type of important person because she was definitely in charge! What a great representative for the Houston Astros staff. Cathy, you made me feel so special and it means the world to me! Hope both you and Brandon will be a regular on my blog. Thank you both for making my day!
After the game, Lou and I went to the fabulous McKee Street Bridge and took some photos. WOW!!!
What a beautiful bridge and park! Lou’s friend, Kirk Farris, had single-handedly transformed this bridge and bayou area into a place that is totally cool, beautiful and peaceful! It’s just a few blocks north of Minute Maid Park on McKee Street just south of I-10.
Of course, taking all those photos at Minute Maid and McKee Street made us pretty hungry and thirsty so we went to the new Porch Swing Pub at Washington and Waugh in The Heights for crawfish!!! Man, oh, man, were they good! Lou had beer. I had Coke.
It was a beautiful day!
Celebrities, artists, designers and friends in middle of doodling frenzy for neurofibromatosis!!!
Lou and I are in the middle of what I thought would be a very difficult task: asking celebrities, artists and friends to draw a doodle for National Doodle Day benefiting NF!
Well, I’m happy to say it was very easy thanks to some very special friends! With the help of some special people who want a cure for NF as much as I do, friends from all over the country whipped out their writing instruments and doodled for NF. Some of them you may know like Sugar Ray Leonard. (SEE DOODLE ABOVE LEFT)
Some
are friends of my friend, Lou. A big thank you to Lou and all of you who played a
big part in this effort to Knock Out NF Once and for all. Take time to see all the doodles on my photo page and go the National NF Doodle Day website!
All doodles will be posted shortly onto ebay where you will be able to bid on your favorite NF doodle!!!
Bid high, soon and often and do your part to help raise money for NF.
Doodlers include Sugar Ray Leonard; designer Andy Dearwater; artist/gallery owner Dan Allison, stamp art artist Kim White; printmaking professor Peter Massing, illustrator Matt Loftiss; America’s Greatest Artists, The Art Guys; writers Lou Congelio and Matt Walsh; Lou’s daughter, Elena Congelio; yours truly, Reggie Bibbs; STANANDLOU’s Kate Wiggins and Rhea Diaz; and my nephew, Jordan Walker.
Clay Walker at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, 3/14/08
Wow! Tonight I was invited to the Rodeo once again. It was a more then Terrific night. The music was the best I’ve heard so far. Clay Walker sang all of my favorite songs and encouraged everyone to join in. Pretty cool. It was cool to see him ride a horse to the stage. A real Texan.![]()
A big thank you to Laurie Selzer, from MNI (Media Networks Inc) for allowing me to join them in the Verizon West VIP suite. The food was terrific. I wish I knew everyones name I would love to say thank you for the wonderful treatment.
Here are a bunch of photos I took tonight. I hope to add everyone’s names to these when Lou gets them from Laurie!
Friends of Neurofibromatosis Group on Facebook
To all my friends who are reading this blog, I’d like to introduce you to my “Friends of Neurofibromatosis” group on Face Book. We have quite a few members now, over 70. I am now in contact with a few good friends that I had lost contact with from the 1980s. My friend Dr. Vincent “Vic” Riccardi is now part of our “Friends of Neurofibromatosis” group. I’m sure anyone who has NF may know him or have heard of him. Dr. Riccardi is a legend when it comes to neurofibromatosis research and treatment. He has not only been a good doctor, but a good friend. He has done a lot for NF. At one time he was on the Board of the Texas Neurofibromatosis Foundation. He was its Medical Director for many years helping decide where to give the money we raised for research. Hopefully, maybe we could get him to come to the blog from time to time.
Two other friends have showed up too! Megan Phillips and Andy Ganster are now online with us. Megan, Andy and I shot some TV commercials with Lou back in 1989. That’s when we first met Lou through Bob Hopkins, then the TNF Executive Director. Those were some pretty serious commercials but they helped neurofibromatosis get some much needed awareness.![]()
I hope anyone visiting this blog will also join us on Facebook as well. We will all learn as we go alone on Facebook. The games and quizzes are fun and challenge. It a good way to find friend you may have lost contact with. Believe me, I know!
2008 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo
Houston, It’s almost time to Rodeo!
Cowboy Up, America! When a cowboy’s in a pinch, he just tightens up the cinch, spurs his horse and rides right through it, cause that’s the way the Duke would do it. He’d Cowboy Up.
This year it’s going to be another terrific year for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Just as I did last year, I will be there enjoying all activities for the 2008 show.
This year I plan to see more of the livestock show then I did last year. As for music, there are several performers I want to see this year. There are two I have in mind now, that I want to see Rascal Flatts and Tim McGraw I will see more then one, I hope. All that to look forward too, and I haven’t even started on the great food.
How many of you are planning to go the the Rodeo, and who will you see? It would be a great idea if any of you go, to take pictures and send me a photo and I will make a section for our photos for this year on the blog and Flickr.
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008
Well, a year has passed and we are at a new beginning. I look forward to great things this year. Maybe something new for NF research. Let’s keep hope alive. Now lets talk resolutions. Or promises, or whatever you want to call it. Something I want to do this year is build up my friends list to at least 200 or 300 friends with NF on myspace.com dailystrength.com or youtube.com Any one of the three. Oh yea, one more thing. drink more Starbucks and hopefully meet with some of my friends that I talk with everyday about coffee.
On a serous note. Please remember our real HEROS in 2008 in the U.S. ARMY, and military service members. When you see someone in uniform say thank you.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE
I have a question and I’m adding to my new blog. Lets talk movies. What was your favorite movie of all time? And if you where going to the movie this weekend what movie would you pay to see?
Remember let’s keep this blog on movies. Maybe we can get some ideas of the best movies in our own option. a friend of mine told me I should see the movie 300. I’m not sure if this is a new movie. Have any of you seen the movie. I enjoy going to the movies. Just want to know what are the best ones to see. One of the radio stations ask that question and I think its a good one.
The movie you watched when you were younger, would you say you still like it as much?

This weekend I got the shock and surprise of my life! I was going through my emails looking for a phone number when I came across an unopened email dated November 14! It was from my new friend
