NF Wins Big at Houston ADDY Awards, 2/21/09
Saturday night was the 47th Annual Houston ADDY awards. It was the night of the stars. The American Advertising Federation honored Lou’s former boss, Don Brown, of Taylor Brown & Barnhill, while Only In Houston honored Steve Farrell, of Radio Music Theater, who is also one of the funniest guys I have ever seen. I met him after the ADDYs when Lou and I went to the theatre to present him with his award. Steve is a great man and I was proud to meet him and his family.
But wait, there were more winners Saturday night!
STANANDLOU and I won two gold ADDYs, one silver ADDY, and a Special Judges Award for Public Service Advertising for our new “Just Ask! ads! . That was a total surprise to me. I’m thankful that the work here on the Just Ask campaign is getting noticed. More people will learn about nf as we keep pushing forward. Thank you all for supporting the site with your visits.

Comment 12 Thank you Bart. I couldn’t believe it. Lou was nice and quiet, and myself was like make that go fast. Hearing all the names and what not, I was about to go crazy. When they first said the name Stan&Lou for “Reggie Bibbs” and showed the AD. It was a feeling that I never felt before. I felt like I wanted to cry. Lou asked me, “Do you want to go up and get your awards?” I said sure. That was a really cool feeling. And near the end of the event, they said and the Special Judges Award goes to “Reggie Bibbs” for “It Impairs, It scars, It Debilitates.”

What a nice surprise! Did the truck from FAO Schwartz arrive for Morty yet? The only thing scary down here is Reggie as his power increases daily; speaking engagements around the country, lobbying in Washington, creating a foundation. Before you know it, he’ll have Obama’s ear and probably won’t give it back. Give you and Morty a hug and a kiss from me. Preferably a much bigger hug and kiss to you as we haven’t been together for, well, forever!

They said today is Square Root Day, never heard of this. Since today is the 3rd month, 3rd day and the ninth year, 3×3=9. The last one was in 2004 2nd month 2nd day 4th year. Next one will occur in 2016, April the 4th (4×4=16).
